It was a rainy afternoon, so thought I'd start a little cress seed project with little man.
Step one - You will need a packet of cress seeds
some cotton wool and a couple of plastic pots. We used two old trifle desert pots and the plastic tray our eggs came in.
Step two - place a small amount of cotton wool in the bottom of your plastic containers.
Step three - pour some water onto the cotton wool, needs to be a little moist.
Step four - get a hand full of seeds and sprinkle into each container.
Step five - place the pots into a small bag and tie loosely.
Step six - put them on a warm light window sill and water them daily and within 7 days you'll have nice yummy cress to put on your sandwiches.
A snack was needed by little man, planting cress is hard work haha.
Here's our day to day progress, they grew really fast.
Day 1 - Little round seeds
Day 2 - Some white shoots appearing
Day 3 - We have greenage!!
Day 5
Day 6 - nearly bursting from the pots
I can't take anymore cress photos, so will end here. Going to have some nice egg butty's I think and polish a few pots off.
How to grow cress seeds was presented by little man.
Sorry about the mucky paint hands, we had a painting session before we started potting.
